The tradition of memoir writing and autobiography in Urdu

Abstract

Literature is the mirror of life .The importance of diary writing in the history of Urdu literature  has been un questionable.  We find mention of  it in the poetry of great poets .The journal is actually a type of diary writing . In modern  times , the tendency towards it has become relatively less. Research students are unaware  of its importance and value. My aim of this research is to enlighten the contemporary researchers about its importance and traditions.
