Abstract

The real name of Dr. Adil Siddiqui is Muhammad Shabir Siddiqui۔ He was born to Abdul Azim Siddiqui in Burhanpur Chauhan Tehsil Pasrur, District Sialkot. He passed his Primary exam from Government City School Pasrur and later passed the Matriculation exam from Government High School Pasrur No. 2۔ He then passed the PTC exam from Government High School No.1۔ and F.A from Lahore Board ۔   privately۔  He passed his MA Urdu and Ph.D. punjabi from Punjab University Lahor. Dr. Adil Siddiqui is one of the foremost poets in modern Ghazal۔ He opened his eyes in a literary family and began his poetry in Punjabi۔ He is one of the few poets who turned from Punjabi to Urdu and soon established a place in Urdu literature.
